If the model name you got begins with generic_ then use the chart below to figure out what the new model name is.

Original NameNew Name
generic_heromale_cape
generic_hero2male_belt
generic_hero3male_alpha
generic_hero4male_basic
generic_hero5generic_hero5
generic_heroBmale_heavy
generic_heroB2male_hulking
generic_heroCmale_rotund
generic_heroinefemale_longhair
generic_heroine3female_basic

So, if your original model name was generic_hero then your new model name is male_cape. That will be the model name in the next steps.

4. Check the path column. Now remember what it is, because you'll need it for the next step.

5. Press the Extract button. Your screen should look similar to this:

6. You will only do either 6a or 6b, but not both.

6a. If the path column just has the name of the skin as the example above does, make sure 'Use Folder Names' is checked and unzip the zip into the model_name\skins directory where model_name is the name of the model. See the example below:

6b. If the path column is blank or anything else but just the skin's name, uncheck 'Use Folder Names' and unzip the zip into the model_name\skins\skin_name directory where model_name is the name of the model and skin_name is the name of the skin. You will have to manually type the name of the skin after the backslash (\) after 'skins' in the box under 'Extract to:'. See the example below:

7. Open Windows Explorer. Find the folder you installed the skin to. In the folder should be files with the old name. Rename the files to the new names. For example, if the old name was generic_hero3, then you would have to rename the generic_hero3.tga file to male_alpha.tga and change the generic_hero3_extras.tga file to male_alpha_extras.tga. Leave the portrait.tga file, if there is one, alone.

8. Look at that! You installed the skin!
