Wasn't there a compatibility patch back in the day?

Hey Irrational Games, dudes and dudettes,

Looking though the shelf of old games I decided to install System Shock 2 once again on this old Pentium 2 XP OS. I remember System Shock 2 having a very simple semi-official patch/exe replacer for XP made by the developers back in the day. From memory it was it's own page. Is that now not available on the interwebs (I've been a-looking but to no avail)? Or do I have to knuckle down and learn some of those mod tools to have a massive bout of awesome nostalgia?

Sincerely,

Mr Wadsworth

Disregard this comment. I think I found it. And it is ineffective for me. Tools it is.

Grab SS2Tool here; it applies patches and bug fixes, including widescreen compatibility. Once you have that, there's another fan patch yonder 'ere.

If you need any help installing or any troubleshooting info, see this thread, and if you want any other mods, check this (the best mods are the stickies, IMO). Have fun!
