I dread where this discussion is going to lead but it's of course a case of apples and oranges.

Knowing that, I suppose it boils down to what kind of game you enjoy. Having played neither, I can't really say anything too subjective.

Dragon age is of course going to have more traditional game play elements opposed to Heavy Rain's interactive cinema.

If you're looking for a better story, I can't say I really like the writing of either David Cage or the Bioware staff. The main deal-breaker may be that Heavy Rain's core game play revolves much more around the story than a Bioware RPG, where the game play could distract you from a story you might find less than appealing.

Of course this is all subjective. I've only played Indigo Prophecy and the occasional Bioware RPG so that should be taken with the appropriate grain of salt.

OK...I had your problem, I couldn't get into Dragon Age...but I played through Heavy Rain and absolutely loved the crap out of it. It's really really good. But it's also really different and that has turned some people off from playing it. If you like good storylines and original ideas in games, go for it....if not....research a bit.

So you would say you were happy with the trade?

I came in here to recommend HR over DA, simply because I can't stand BioWare.

Whats so great about HR? I only have a 360 currently so cant pick it up but all i have heard from the few people i know that played it is they thought it was great at first but got boring quickly due to lack of interaction. I also heard the controls are not very well thought out. I am interested in hearing more about it though because it is said to be pretty revolutionary in some aspects. To be more on topic I thought DA was a very good game, had a great story just was harder to play on a console. I would recommend playing DA a few hours more it picks up a bit.
