Have you tried the basics like compatibility mode? The game works fine on XP, so setting it for XP compatibility might make a bit of difference. |

Unfortunately yes, it didn’t seem to make any difference. I tried it with all the different compatibility modes. |

Virtual PC XP mode doesn't support 3D hardware acceleration, it won't work for running games. Its really only for running productivity apps that have issues with Windows 7 |

I had to solve this problem recently myself (using vista), it required replacing a few of the files, specifically the wavmix32.dll and iirc, the wavemix.cfg If you do a google search, you ought to be able to find the fix, it was necessary to play the game (in compatability/admin mode) on vista. Also, you'll need to have patched to v1.3, otherwise, no dice. |

I got the demo off steam with intentions of buying if I liked it but I had very mixed results so did not end up purchasing it. I am running Windows 7 64bit and it appeared to be rather choppy at certain points which was bothersome. |

Frustrating! I am having the same issues. Tried every fix that I've seen, but it hasn't worked. Mouse pointer and Minuteman acting crazy. *sigh* |

Yeah, I just installed it the other day and it acted wonky. After setting compatibility it works fine - though I'm not more than the tutorial into it so I'm not too sure what else is to come. I'm running Windows 7 64 bit - it auto changed it the first time I exited the game and looks fine since. |

Ya, just wanted to confirm that without doing anything more than the auto-fix that Windows 7 did, this runs perfectly now for me. Was looking into it, and Win 7 does a lot of compatibility fixes compared to Vista and XP, so a lot of games that just refused to work then, are good to go now. I'm still having issues with original fallout though. |

Guys, I know this post is older, but if any of you are still having trouble running the game with Windows 7, download this patch found here: http://freedomfans.com/news.php?id=37 I did and it worked for me. So excited I can play Freedom Force again. :3 |
